Learning the Japanese Language

Teaching foreign language seems to be so in demand these days. A lot of people are making a move to study foreign language mostly for career opportunities or for personal reasons like travel. It is important to remember then than studying the Japanese language is as important as learning Japanese etiquette.

 

Most people who has undergone lesson of Japanese language commented that it is easy to learn. What makes it easy than any other foreign language? To start with, there are only five vowels sounds, namely the A, I, U, E, O. A is pronounced as ah or the “a” sound in English word la. I is pronounced as “e” in English words like need and tea. U sounds like “o” in words like cool and soon. E is pronounced like the “e” in the English word set. And O is pronounced as the letter “o” in word told.

 

As long as you know the sounds of this vowel then learning Japanese language is less difficult. Another thing why Japanese language is less complicated is proper grammar is not really observed just for example when you talk about gender and number, the same word is used for one chair or many chairs. Even their verb remains the same regardless of the subject. Not like English, Spanish and French where you have to learn proper use of grammar.

 

When you get to master how the vowels are spoken and you know that their use of nouns and verbs are very easy then you have learn the basic of Japanese language. The only thing that might confuse you is the order of their sentences. Normally in English language its subject verb object format but in Japanese they are in the format subject object verb. They also use a few articles and the most common article they use is “ka” which is always used at the end of their sentence. This is their form of asking question since they don’t use question mark at all.

 

There are many ways you can learn the language through books, flashcards, online tutorials and even computer software. The secret to mastering it is by constant practice and in time you will surely learn to speak the language. After you learned the language, it doesn’t stop there at all. You have to learn Japanes etiquette because it has a lot of impact on the words or phrase you deliver.

 

Remember this always when you talk with someone, Avoid using casual phrasings unless you know him/her personally. Do not shout at someone just to catch her/his attention, instead wave at that person or approach that person and bow and speak. Always show respect when you are speaking to someone. Avoid making a lot of body language when you speak or they might misunderstand what you are saying. These are just a few things that you have to learn and must remember at all times. Keep this in mind and using the Japanese language would be easy and less complicated.
